Reminders

  • Common Elements of the Association may be used by Owners and their guests. This includes lawns, paths, gazebo, beaches, waterfront, mooring areas, etc.
  • General Rules– 3.9 states: “Any gathering or event that effectively monopolizes a Lakeside amenity or otherwise prevents the fair use of that amenity by other Co-Owners is prohibited without the express prior written approval by the Board of Directors.”  Please email (lakesideclubcondo@gmail.com) with requests before planning get-togethers of more than 6 people.
  • One owner requested permission to host a large gathering (12-18 people) on the lawn near unit 45 during the July 4th holiday (date to be determined by weather). Other owners and guests will still have access to the lawn area and waterfront.  Permission was granted by the Board.
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times. This keeps everyone safe, including our furry friends.

Friends and Family

If you give permission for family and/or friends to stay in your unit, without your presence, please

provide your guests with copies of the LSC General Rules and Rules for the Amenities.  Both can be found on the LSC website.

MAINTENANCE  UPDATE

  • Geese deterrent has been applied and will continue throughout the season.
  • Tree removal will be completed by both our staff and tree removal services.
  • Ostlund Pest Control cleaned the exterior of buildings and sprayed for spiders.  They will be back this month to spray for mosquitos.  Notices will be placed on entry doors with a reminder to keep windows and sliders closed and AC off.
  • Gray’s Cleaning Service cleans building entryways, pool bathrooms, and clubhouse weekly during summer months and bi-weekly in winter.
  • Windows (exterior) will be washed during the last week of June.
  • Staff installed stepping stones and grass seed from the woodchip path to the gazebo.
  • Pollys planted annual flowers.
  • The north entrance sign has deteriorated and needs to be replaced.

Deck Maintenance  See General Rules 2.11

  • Co-Owners are responsible for pressure washing and re-staining their deck or balcony on a regular basis.
  • The stain will be provided by the association to ensure the same color and type is used throughout the complex. Cans of stain are available in the clubhouse.
  • It is recommended that re-staining be done at least once every three years.  Spindles and railings (inside and out) need to be stained along with floor boards.
  • Kevin can provide Co-owners with a list of persons or firms that will provide this service.
  • Any deck not in compliance must comply with this provision the next time staining is necessary.

Headers and Posts Projects

Headers and posts were replaced on D and E buildings (units 13-22 and 23-32).  The wood needs to cure for one year before staining.  Building E was completed last year, so the headers and posts will be stained this summer; headers and posts on Building D will be stained in 2025.

 Landscape Projects

The 2023 landscape project is complete.  A plan will be developed for the next phase that will landscape buildings A, B, and C (units #1-12).

Pool House Access

Staff thank you for your patience as they assist owners who are having difficulty downloading and activating the new app that provides access to the pool house.  Please be aware that the email has an expiration timeframe, so if you make a request, you need to open the email and activate ASAP.  The pool house is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, so devices will open the door only during these hours.

Welcome New Owners

We say good-bye to Jeff and Liz Fredrickson who recently sold Unit # 60.  We welcome Catherine Books who makes Lakeside Club her primary residence.

Thank you

Kudos to all owners who take the initiative to make improvements to the Lakeside grounds.  These efforts keep our community looking its best.

John Lehman shares information from the LSC website and info about Local Events and Activities in June.

Web page of the month: Lakeside Club Diagram (OWNERS MENU)

When you’re given the unit numbers of LSC owners, it may be difficult to find where they live because the unit numbers don’t follow a logical sequence. But help is available under the Owners Menu on the LSC website. By accessing the Lakeside Club Diagram, you can see where each unit is located.
